HI MALAYSIA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION DETAILS 

 Dear Members,

 We would like to express our gratitude for supporting us by joining as one of our members and also participating in our activities. Membership application can be done in 2 ways, you could come to the office and fill up the form or you could fax/ e-mail all the details that are required for the application form. The details are: NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NO, OCCUPATION, GENDER, NATIONALITY, I.C. NO, PLACE OF BIRTH, DATE OF BIRTH AND E-MAIL.

Application of the membership will be done on the same day. Application from the fax/ e-mail received before 5.00pm (Mondays to Fridays) and 2.00pm (Saturdays) will be processed on the same day and send out on the next working day.The payment can be bank in to our HSBC Bank, account no: 305-020372-001, payable to Malaysian Youth Hostels Association. Please take note that the membership will only be processed once we receive the prove of payment and all the necessary details. Bank-in slip can be send by fax or e-mail to us. Please take note that there is an extra charge of RM 6.00 (Semenanjung Malaysia) and RM 10.00 for (Sabah & Sarawak) for Pos Laju. Members who do internet transfer will need our Association Registration Number: 1121 (Selangor)

Applicants who come to the office will receive the card on the same day. All you have to do is fill up the form and we issue the membership card on the spot. The price of the membership cards are:  

 JUNIOR RM 30.00 for12years to 17years old(inclusive RM 10 entrance fee)

SENIOR: RM 40.00 for above 18 years old (inclusive RM 10 entrance fee)

LIFE : RM 300.00(plastic card) only one time payment.  

 Junior and Senior members may also apply for 2 years membership or more. For example 2 years Senior membership will cost RM 70.00

Senior & Life membership card has no age limit except to stay at very few hostels in Germany due to the legislation of the local council.

HI-MALAYSIA MEMBERSHIP CARD

This card can be used in Malaysia and overseas where the is a YHA/HI sign display. This card is only issued to Malaysians and Malaysian Permanent Resident (PR) card holders only

HI CARD

This card is issued to non resident of Malaysia (foreigners) with 6 welcome stamps. The cost of the card is RM 40.00 for 1 year. Please contact the National Office for more details.

SENIOR/JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP WHICH IS CONVERTED TO LIFE MEMBERSHIP AT LEAST 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE ONLY WILL HAVE TO PAY RM 270.00.

Application for membership open from Mondays (12.30pm till 5.30pm), Tuesdays to Fridays (10.30am till 5.30pm) and Saturdays (9.30am till 2.30pm). At the moment we are shortage of staff, please call before you come. Staff might go out for office work. There are 2 ways of booking hostels around the world:

1)      Members can go to the www.myha.org.my main page stroll down to the bottom of the page for the Book Now box and click the country they want to visit and pay through their credit card. The charges are:

i)                    5% deposit

ii)                   1.5 pound sterling or equal ant to it hostel booking charge

iii)                 1% currency exchange charge by credit card company

2)      Members can book the hostels from the MYHA National Office by only paying

      10% deposit and the balance 90% when checking in the hostel. This booking can 

       be done 2 ways

             i)         Members can come to the office and do the booking and receive the 

                         conformation immediately.

            ii)         Member can do it over the phone and receive the conformation 

                        immediately. Once the booking is confirmed, bank in the money to our 

                        HSBC Account 101-547867-101 and send the copy of the bank in slip

                         to us by fax, e-mail or post and we will send the Booking Reference 

                         number by e-mail or fax.
