The 35th Annual General Meeting was held on Friday, 16 June 2006 at the KL Hostel, Jalan Kampung Attap, KL and chaired by Tuan Haji Zulkifly bin Baharom, the Interim President. Two officers from the International Youth Hostel Federation, Nick Christian and Promvit Klampaiboon were also present at the AGM. The members at the AGM received the minutes of the previous AGM, the annual report and annual audited statement of accounts for year ended 31 Dec 2006.
The new Exeutive Committee members were also elected as follows: President: Wan Darulani Vice presidents: Rajaretinam and Kamarunzaman Three Committee members: Mohamad Arif,Mohamad Hafizi and Jacinta Loh At the AGM, the Interim President and members of the previous Exco declined nomination to be in the new line up. On 19 June 2006, at the first Exco meeting, the President with the agreement of other Exco members appointed Khairul Annuar as National Treasurer and with Mohd Khalid, Khrishnan and Besie Cheah as additional committee members as provided for in the MYHA Constitution.
