Backpacking Thailand Part |
(Sunday, 07 October 2007) Written by Ng Hwei Kwan
18th December 2006 : The day i'm flying off to Chiang Mai from KLIA. The flight took about 1 1/2 hours. It was a very good flight. I'm going there with Suhanth and he slept the whole journey while i watch the clouds and islands that i passed every 10-30 km. When i reach Chiang Mai , I called my bf and mom. God, i miss my bf so much. =( . We took a taxi to the guesthouse. Parami Guesthouse. It was a very nice gueshouse.Recommanded by me ! The owner was very friendly . I took a twin fan room for 330 baht per night. And the last day of chiang mai , i took another day extra , he gave us an aircon twin room for just 330 baht! special offer i guess.. he is too friendly. And the Omellete... was fantastic! After checking into the room , we went out for lunch. Then Suhanth said he wants to go back to the room for a nap but i didn't followed him. I don't plan to waste my money and time when i got a chance to travel. So i took a walk around the town , went into the temple , have a cup of thai coffee. ( only 30 baht for a nice latte! ) At night , we went to the Night Bazaar. They have a food court there , so we decided to have our lovely dinner there and it turns out to be nice. The atmosphere was very lovely , people singing on the stage , lights around the food court , the weather is cold. And beer says it all. Ahhhh~~~ 19,20,21 December 2006 : We went for a 3 days 2 night Trekking ! it was fun but too cold. I didn't bring the proper clothings for trekking because by night , the temperature goes up til 7 degree and i'm onli wearing a long treksuit and a t-shirt with my pullover ! yeah ! that was fun! i thought my fingers gonna fall off any time ! After 3 hours of Hiking ! The last day of trekking , we went for Bamboo Rafting.Had a lil accident while bamboo rafting. There is an Aussie guy , he was at another raft. He came into my raft and push me down the river ! Dammit ! Then one of the bamboo rafter accidently hit my hand with the 3-5m long bamboo. I thought i'm going to faint cause the impact was soo freaking much ! but the i survive! muahahaHA ! In return , i went down the river and push all the bamboo rafter down the river. And everyone now call me , Kill Bill! *grins* 22 , 23 December 2006 : Nothing much to see in Chiang Mai. We rented a bike for 200 Baht and went for sight seeing around Chiang Mai.We went to see the Night life in Chiang Mai too. A lot of gay bar but they are friendly! *wink* We took a night train down to Bangkok. Next Stop : Bangkok!

How to fly from KL to Seoul the cheapest way? I have been doing some research and manage to find to possible ways you can do it.. 1) Air Asia to Macau and Air Macau to Seoul. Estimating the total charges will be somewhere around RM3,100. 2) Air Asia to Manila and FlyAsiana to Seoul. Estimating the total charges will be somewhere around RM3,300.00 However a direct flight using MAS will be costing RM3,600 approx. Any other suggestions people? RGds KuMa
