Please be informed that MYHA is keen to develop the Port Dickson Hostel to upgrade the hostel facilities which will then include swimming pool and seminar hall. The total cost is expected to be about RM 300,000 and MYHA will come up with 30% of the cost. The balance of 70% which is equivalent to RM 210,000 is to be offered to members and interested parties. One percent is RM 3,000 and YHA members can take up the offer which is valid for 5 years. In return, MYHA will pay members and interested parties the profit returns once the PD hostel is operational. We at MYHA believe that the Hostel would be able to generate income once it is able to conduct and run programs and activities. For further information kindly contact Hamirudin at 013 3696318. We will hold a briefing session to explain in detail regarding our investment plan. Comments (7) | Add as favourites (206) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1202 |

It is with deepest sadness to inform the passing of our long serving President, Dato Dr Ikmal Hisham Albakri on Saturday, 14 Jan 2006 due to heart attack. He was buried at the Ampang Muslim cemetery the next day. Among the dignitories, HRH the Sultan of Perak was present on Sunday to pay his last respect. The late Dato was President since 1988 and prior to that was the Vice President and Chairman of the Executive Committee since appointed to the post on 01 May 1966. He has attended many International Youth Hostel Conferences and was a member of the Asia Review Committee. The IYHF President, Dr Harish Saxena came all the way from India on 10 to 12 March 2006 to pay his respect and offer condolences to the family of the late Dato. May his soul rest in peace. Alfatihah.
